Energy Department Announces Funding for Clean Energy Technical Assistance

40 partner teams will be sent to assist local, state, and Tribal governments.

The Department of Energy (DOE) awarded $27 million to 40 local governments that require technical assistance to implement their community clean energy projects. These 40 partners will use this funding to develop solar, wind, and hydropower solutions that fit a variety of needs. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm made the announcement during her visit to the Georgia Institute of Technology.

“A lasting clean energy transition starts with state, local, and Tribal governments in the driver’s seat, taking the wheel in pursuit of their own unique clean energy strategies,” said Secretary Granholm. “With support from the Energy Future Grants Program, local communities can devise their own projects to solve challenges, create new jobs, and make their clean energy goals a reality.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the energy secretary and department officials as they choose projects and initiatives to fund.
  • For the president and his energy advisors as they seek alternate sources of power and energy.
